Windy City Slam begins full-fledged podcast

It’s a new day, yes it is!

After several months of Windy City Slam editor Mike Pankow appearing on The Broadcast Basement for a biweekly segment talking pro wrestling, a standalone Windy City Slam Podcast, will debut this week.

This will be an extension of the Windy City Slam website, which still will focus on covering wrestling from Chicago and beyond with stories and photo galleries.

Episodes are scheduled to drop on every Tuesday. Each show will be around 30 minutes, featuring news, opinions, commentary and guests from local and national wrestling promotions. Veteran podcast personality Chris Lanuti, who hosts several shows on The Broadcast Basement On-Demand Radio Network, will join Mike every week.

This week’s first episode features discussion about recent happenings in local and national wrestling, including NXT, NXT UK, IMPACT Wrestling, plus we preview this weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble event in Houston with some predictions.

You can access the Windy City Slam Podcast now on Apple Podcasts and https://windycityslam.podbean.com/. It soon will be available on Spotify and other places for podcasts.

We can’t wait to talk about the quality of independent wrestling in the Chicago area as well as national companies such as WWE, AEW, IMPACT Wrestling, Ring of Honor, MLW and so much more.
